Protocol Attachments

Attachments to protocols work similarly to attachements to e-mails. Any file can be attached and then downloaded by the viewer of the protocol. The attachments will appear as a list at the end of the protocol but can also be put within the body of the protocol by using Markdown.

  1. To make an attachment you must first create a new document. When doing so you can choose and upload a file from your computer.

  2. Go to the protocol you wish to attach it to and then find its attachment section. Click the "Add" link and choose the document you just created using the searchbox.

  3. Here you can specify a key for the attachment. The key is what you type in Markdown to include the attachment at a specific place (example_diagram in the demonstration above).

How can I found out what the key to an attachment is?

Go to the attachments' section and click the "edit" link. This produces a list of all attachments and their keys.
