Welcome to MolMeth

The Molecular Methods Database is an advanced protocol publishing system with unique collaborative features.

The projects goal is to provide a simple powerful and completely free tool for researchers to publish and improve methods or lab protocols online.

Right now the project features a versioning system making sure no information is ever lost. A time travel system allowing you to see what a protocol looked like at a certain data. A permission system making sure that only approved collaborators can edit, delete or even read your protocols without your permission and much much more...

Special Issue of Biopreservation and Biobanking on "Biobanking Methods for Emerging Countries"

Biobanking in emerging countries face different and more challenging requirements than biobanking in nations with more developed infrastructure. The description of methods developed under these conditions may not only be valuable to scientists facing similar obstacles, but also valuable for other researchers as the methods, when developed, may prove more reliable and cost efficient than current methods.

User guide

The navigation menu to the left on the screen provides you with direct access to all sections of MolMeth. If you register you also get access to a second menu to the left that allows you to directly navigate to your own groups and protocols.

To submit protocols, log in to the site and then click the "Add protocol" link in the menu to the left. To search for protocols you can either use the search engine or browse by categorgy (www.molmeth.org/browsing).

About us

MolMeth is built by the SLU Global Bioinformatics Centre with the funding and support of BBMRI.se, BBMRI.eu and the Affinomics project. All projects share a need for harmonisation of laboratory work and a digital infrastructure for efficient validation of laboratory techniques and materials.
MolMeth supports this by providing an efficient open access publication system and crowd sourcing to promote reliable techniques and reagents for use in the laboratory.
